Pickup trucks are among the most versatile vehicles around, able to bridge the gap between the working world and daily driver thanks to their fantastic utility and deep feature set. Several brands have leaned into the idea of using a truck as a mobile office, adding equipment and designing cabins that lend themselves to getting the job done (regardless of how far from home you are).

Here's a look at some of the most compelling pickups from a mobile office perspective.

Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is adding white-collar work perks on top of its blue-collar pickup credentials. A flat workspace folds down from the center console to provide a desk for writing, balancing a laptop, enjoying a quick lunch, or any other task that requires a flat and wide table. The party trick is how the middle-mounted shifter electronically folds down to make room for the pad's deployment.

If you prefer to do your paperwork outdoors, the F-150 can accommodate with a tailgate that provides a similar flat space, along with features such as an integrated ruler for measuring out plans and blueprints. This is on top of work-friendly gear such as a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot and several power plugs found inside and outside the vehicle for charging mobile devices and other equipment.

If you end up a little too tired for the drive home after a long day of remote work, the Ford also offers Max Recline seats that fold almost flat so you can catch a nap prior to leaving the job site.

Like the F-150, both the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado full-size trucks provide 4G Wi-Fi connectivity, which is convenient when you need a mobile hotspot that can handle multiple Internet-enabled devices.

GMC (MultiPro) and Chevrolet (Multi-Flex) also provide tailgates with their trucks that can be configured not just to manage a load, but to provide a bench for use as a standing workstation on a job site.

Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 buttresses its own Wi-Fi hotspot with an enormous 12-inch infotainment screen that makes it that much easier to configure for your mobile-office needs. The Ram's center console is also designed to accommodate as many as five charging phones at a time (perfect for the entire work crew), and it has room for you to stash a 15-inch laptop away from prying eyes when the vehicle is parked.

2021 Nissan TitanNissan

Nissan Titan

While many full-size pickup trucks provide fold-up rear seating that makes way for cargo storage, the Nissan Titan flips the script with a split fold-down bench that transforms the seatback into a padded workbench, suitable for a wide variety of mobile-office tasks.
