More than a decade after its launch as Nissan’s luxury brand, Infiniti found its mojo in a model called the G35. Blending style, performance, and credibility, the G35 coupe and sedan made owning an Infiniti a point of pride. Then, just as the third-generation G was about to launch for the 2014 model year, Infiniti decided to rename it the Q50. By the early 2020s, a twin-turbocharged V6 was standard, powering the rear or all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission, and Infiniti had shaved the lineup down to three trim levels.
