The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an electric car offering up to 62 miles of driving range. Mitsubishi says you should pronounce the name "eye-meev," and the acronym reportedly stands for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle. The four-passenger i-MiEV doesn't offer a ton of trunk space behind the back seat, but it can carry more than 50 cubic feet of cargo when you fold the seat down. A 49-kW electric motor powers the i-MiEV's rear wheels, fed by a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery. In addition to its restricted driving range, the i-MiEV has a CHAdeMO charging port, and it can take seven hours to fully recharge its battery using a Level 2 home charging station. The i-MiEV was available in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017.
