The Worst Ever

02/20/2024

At 41,000 miles, in otherwise good condition, now requires $10,000 in repairs. All required maintenance performed, and two sets of new tires after purchase. A $59,000 purchase price, now offered $14,000 from the dealer. My worst car experience ever, at 77 years of age. Pure junk.

Total Accident

I received this car by total accident. But I’ve fallen in love with it. Runs and drives great. SO COMFORTABLE.

Land Rover is Better than it used to be for sure.

Reviews are like feedback on eBay. EVERYONE who is disappointed will leave a bad review. MANY people who are satisfied don't bother to take the time. I was one of those who said I would Never buy another Land Rover after a Freelander Failure. Then I saw the New Evoque in 2013 and loved the look but stayed away... until I couldn't help but to do some research on the new 'Baby Rover'. What I found intrigued me. It's the 2012-2017 models that use a variation on the Ford Ecoboost engine. NO TIMING BELT TO FAIL. In fact since I've done some service under the hood being an Ex-Ford Tech there is no shortage of Ford part numbers (even on the hoses) so I convinced myself that LR had addressed past engine issues and employed the help of a Company that I support. It wasn't until 2018 that they started using their own Ingenium engine as they call it. I can't speak for that one, but I've had a great time so far w/ a 1st generation model as a second owner adding another 42k miles to it and I don't think there's anything else on the market that looks as cool in a small package.
