The Zero Problem Luxury Car
Friday, July 13, 2018
Very fun to drive. Not the fastest car on the road, but just fast enough to get you in trouble. Looks good... could have tucked the nose in a bit to make it tougher looking, but when looking from the back/side fender you get that impression. Ive had zero issues with the mechanics of the car in years of ownership. I had something come up with the plastic seal on the windshield which Lexus quickly replaced under warranty. Other than that, I just take it in for a spa day every ten thousand miles and alls golden. My first Lexus, and the brand has definitely impressed me.

Great luxury ride

The GS offers a thoroughly enjoyable driving experience, from its incredibly well-appointed interior to the stylish, if somewhat aggressive, sheet metal. The V6 is smooth, powerful and easily gets you from standstill to highway speed in no time and the transmission shifts effortlessly at logical shift points, for the most part. Steering is easy and responsive, but does lack just a little in terms of road feedback. The Lexus isn't a Bimmer in terms of attacking curves or basic grunt, but it more than holds its own in the luxury performance category. But it's also not a Bimmer in terms of maintenance, which is a very good thing. The legendary Lexus reliability definitely lives in the GS. Lexus in general, and the GS in particular (if it survives the current sedan purge going on in the auto industry!) will be at the top of my list when time comes for a new car.
