Transmission issues in less than 200 miles

We picked up a Calligraphy model since it was what the wife wanted. It had all the bells and whistles and she was excited, for two days. Then it started making noise and it was brought back to the dealer. They quickly diagnosed it as a driveline issue and ordered the part which was due in 3 business days. When it was supposed to arrive they called to say that Hyundai Corp was now telling them it won't be there for 3 weeks! How is it possible that a vehicle still in production doesn't have parts available? Either they are full of it and value new car sales more than the customers they already have or this parts are problematic and they can't keep them in stock. Either way it isn't a good sign. So I reached out to Hyundai Customer Care through the website and followed up the next day by calling in. I was told they were expediting my concern and I would hear back from that team in 2 days. Two days later I got an email saying they have my concern and will reach out in 2 days?? So I called again and was told they don't know why it will be two more days, but said they can escalate it but I won't get a response for 2 more days. It is clear these people you call have no ability to do anything but add notes to the file. Hopefully my case is isolated but I would suggest you stay clear of this brand altogether. It is clear they really don't care about their customers and value sales over satisfaction. I hope they can fix this and I hope the rest of the ownership experience is good and this becomes just a memory, but I am not sure if I will ever forget this terrible customer service.

I bought two Santa Fe, less than a month both transmission were broken, after a month still waiting for a solution.

Unfortunately with the severity of the recalls and issues affecting the new generation it is undriveable. Shame because the overall design, comfort, and feel wete amazing for the price point. Corporate and service employees were difficult to deal with and just generally incompetent. Will not recommend brand.
